Elsie does this thing from time to time, it's called 4 Simple Goals (here's the first one). The idea is that you make 4 small goals to acheive during a short season. I love how digestible the whole thing is. It can feel overwhelming to make a huge goal (still a big believer you should now and again) but I LOVE the idea of making a few small goals to keep you on track for a few months. I've been feeling like I really need this. So for November I've decided to make a few specific goals for the month. I plan to:
-Write for 30 minutes, 3 times a week. I've been wanting to get more into writing for a long time. So here's a start. I do have a specific project I'm working on but I may also just write about whatever I want if I'm feeling stuck. (This morning was my first one, and I loved it!)
-Run three 5k this month. Elsie and I will be doing the Turkey Trot again this year, so that can count as one (even though we may not run the whole time as it gets super crowded, but it's really fun so who cares).
-Wake up before 7am during the week. There are probably so many of you who already do this, so sorry if my life seems charmed. Working for yourself means weird schedules. I love the flexibility, I hate the lack of routine. So I'm making my own routine for the month.
-Host Friendsgiving. We are starting a new tradition this year where Elsie and I host a Thanksgiving a few weeks before the actual Thanksgiving so we can invite friends. I am super excited but also quite nervous as I have never had to be in charge of an entire Thanksgiving meal before. Lots of planning, shopping, prepping and cooking in my future. Fingers crossed I don't mess anything up or have to serve anything cold.
Happy November guys! xo. Emma
