Welcome to the brotherhood. Sisterhood. Well.... welcome. :)

Sugar water? Cool. I will have to try that next time.

I didn't swing them... wish I had. :)

These look lovely, the next thing I will be making

Andrea Lynne Rose

These look so yummy! I could use one of these right now :)

they look amazing!!!

Those look fantastic! I had no idea you had to boil bagels!

Emma, can I just say that your baking adventures are so inspiring? I love baking, and I've recently wanted to start branching out, and your post about 52 Loaves was just the push I needed. I checked the book out of the library, and I plan to devour it--along with freshly made bread--over the next year. (There will be quite a few renewals from the library, I guess.) I've always been intimidated by the thought of using yeast, let alone making bagels, but these look too delicious.

yes, i knew you had to boil bagels, pretzels too, right?. i've always thought it was weird. that's a friendship you can hold onto, for you know it's nontoxic, (hopefully). plus blueberries are filled with wonderful antioxidants, who couldn't use those?

blueberries and bagels are two of my favorite foods. Together they are just fab.

Wow Emma! Those are beautiful! I wish I had one right now to go with my tea and blogging!

These look heavenly, i love blueberries!!!

Aracely Campbell

That look so good! Will have to try it !

I love making bagels, but so far I've stuck to the plain sort. The recipe I use says to boil in sugar water, and it makes them really shiny and beautiful.
The next batch will have to be cinnamon raisin (with honey and cream cheese: YUM) but I totally want to try blueberry bagels soon!
Question: how do you shape them? I like to make a ball, flatten it, stick my finger through the middle and just swing it around for a bit XD

Monica @ Soirees Such

Yum! I've never had blueberry bagels before, I think I'll try it this weekend. Thanks

Lovely photographs! Blueberries are so photogenic. I've been making my own bagels for a while now, and have been meaning to try new flavor combinations, so these are now on my list! Boiling the dough is what gives bagels and pretzels that dense, chewy texture. The longer you boil, the chewier the end product will be, so I'm told! Good luck with your continuing bread adventures! It's so satisfying cutting into a loaf you made yourself.

Wow those look sooo yummy. I love bagels but I've never had blueberry one's before. Love it!

xo Emma

This looks amazing!!

o yum yum yum yum!

uhh, emma....why must you tempt me? :)

My son always wants blueberries at the store for snacking, but whenever we buy them, he remembers that he doesn't like them.

This recipe is going to come in handy when that happens again!

Sounds like gooood morning :)
